Our Mission
The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Tupelo, MS, established in 1991, is an interfaith, not-for-profit organization of, with, and for older adults. We are dedicated to a mission of empowering older adults to live complete and independent lives to the full extent of their capabilities through the development of programs of service and enrichment which improve the quality of life for all older adults in the community.

Transportation
Improve health by transporting seniors to their medical and rehab appointments.
Home Safety
Improve home safety and ease of movement within their homes.
Prescriptions & Food
Seniors to fill prescriptions in a timely manner and replenish their food stocks on a regular basis.

Provide a better mental outlook by fostering a sense of community of a similar age.
Living A Life That Matters
What we do
The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Tupelo, MS provides cost-free transportation for Tupelo, MS older adults, living independently but unable to drive, to medical, rehab, and therapy appointments; grocery store/ food pantry visits; pharmacy; and personal errands.
Through our transportation services, we are able to alleviate the cost and stress for Tupelo, MS older adults, who have no other cost-free options for transportation, encounter. We also provide homebound visitation and monthly gatherings that provide a sense of community and socialization for many older adults in the greater Tupelo, MS area.
How we do it
All activities and transports offered by Shepherd’s Center are accomplished by volunteers, using their own vehicles, within the community. In addition to our host of volunteers, Shepherd’s Center is sustained by the generosity of individual donors, church sponsors, civic organization sponsors, and the United Way.
